what about a shuttle bus for people arriveing at the festival before the festival starts as last year there were loads of us jumping into taxis etc which if u take 20 people that could work out like 4 taxis which would use more full than a bus i think not too sure
its the day before the actual buses start running , guess it be the tuesday but if we coordinated crew arriveing say at certain times then we could plan things like a shuttle bus
I think that shuttle buses could be used a lot more when getting crew to site. If you ran shuttle buses from major population centres at subsidised or at least cost price to the site then you could take a lot of cars off the road. Though thats a bit out of DCs scope.
I agree with rob, this could potentially reduce the number of car users as well as help the event run a little more greener than it does. It would also be convenient for the staff and after reading this it would appear that other people also seem to think that a staff shuttle service may be a good idea.
Is there any chance of this happening at Glasto this year? Last year there were hundreds of staff arriving on the Tuesday and taxis were charging up to £40.
